Emerging Into New Life
“I feel like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon,” says Leslie Evans, of Haverhill, Massachusetts. “At 48, I’m experiencing life all over again. ”Leslie’s life before her dramatic weight loss using the Slimplicity™ Weight Loss System was tough. Despite numerous diets, even gastric bypass surgery, she kept gaining weight. In fact, she needed a cane, and everyday pleasures like eating in restaurants and shopping were humiliating. “I was always afraid the restaurants would only have booths where I couldn’t fit,” she says. “And shopping was depressing because I had no choices. ”But all of that was more than 100 pounds ago, and the real Leslie — a confident woman who is ready to start living again — now looks forward to each day, without her cane. She’s even able to get down on the floor and play with her young son, Blake, and is walking two to three miles a day. Leslie’s achievement earned her the title of “Biggest Loser” in Relìv’s “Tons of Fun” Promotion. She has 78 pounds left to lose in order to reach her goal, but knows now that “I can do this. I’m worth this. I’m starting to see myself as a beautiful woman.”
